Molly’s Blog continues to be one of the leading blog sites on wordpress.com as of this morning it has been viewed 3,049,248 times.
Molly and McGee have been spending time together in The Owl Box but this morning the box is empty. We will have to wait to see if they return tonight. We have not observed any bonding so we think they are taking a break and will not have their fourth clutch at this time. We think that both Molly and McGee are about three years old. We also think their first clutch in The Owl Box was their first. So far they have had three clutches in The Owl Box and have produced 10 healthy owlets. Barn owls average one clutch per year but sometimes have two if the weather is good and there is an abundance of food like here in San Marcos. While Barn owls can live up to 25 years, the average in the wild is only about 2 years. Barn owls also mate for life, but will find a new mate if one dies.
The Second Clutch, The Return of Molly and McGee have arrived and I will be signing them this weekend and all orders will be shipped the following Monday, so start watching your mail boxes. If you haven’t ordered your copy please do so this week so you will get a signed copy. www.mollytheowlbooks.com
Austin’s is working hard at finishing his second DVD The World’s Most Famous Barn Owls and hopes to have it available for pre-orders this week. We will let you know as soon as it is available for pre-order. All the money from the sales of his DVD’s goes into his College Fund, his goal is to have it pay for his college education; so far he has made enough for half not including room and board. He hopes his second DVD will pay for the other half. He has found an apartment within walking distance to Platt College that will be available in two weeks so he will be moving to San Diego in two weeks. This will save him two hours driving time per day.
Start your day with good thoughts and you will have a good day.
All the best,
Carlos, Donna and Austin
