  5. Donna Simonson Says:

Oh wow, my heart was just so happy to see the owletes in the tree hole. That was a HUGE first for me and I’m at least 6 decades edold! Carlos and Austin, “How do I love thee, let me count the ways”! Being there with you both was remarkable and so inspiring to see new life and nature at it’s best in that old tree. Let’s cheer for the old tree too, for providing a home for this owl family. I just feel warm fuzzies for the experience you shared tonight with all of us. Since March 19, 2010, I along with so many have learned that Friday nights at theowlbox is always so much fun and filled with anticipation and many surprises to delight the young and old. And yet another, “Thank you, Carlos and Austin.”
    Love, hugs and prayers owlways,

    Dear Carlos, Austin and Donna,
Last night’s visit to the tree was terrific – to see the owls in nature’s nest was a really special treat! It’s always wonderful to hear your voice, Carlos, the very missed sound of a cherished friend! I have learned so much from you! Thank you for these great field trips!
Love to all of you, Holly Sue

  13. Sherry Kelly Says:

Oh, no! I missed another field trip!

  14. Barbara Says:

Thanks again for a wonderful field trip. I took my dogs out last night and saw my first barn owl at my house!! He sat on a power line for a long time, flew off silently and came back again. Watched for a long time…it was magical and wonderful. Everyone needs to look up the significance of an owl “visit” , the symbolism is beautiful. Hope to see everyone tonight, and i hope my owl visits again.

Field Trip on June 24, 2011 – three owlets (or young owls) In the hollow of the Old Sycamore tree in the Hunting Fields of San Marcos, California (A side-lesson in scoping out the ground under a thick layer of leaves, includes watching out for gopher holes in the wild when you situate your chairs, tables and feet)!
