McGee In Palm Tree Again

Roark the red-shouldered hawk

Roark watching in the rain

Roark ready for take off

Mockz the mockingbird in the rain

Not a lot of excitement last night or at least no squawking and screeching like the night before, but Austin did come over to try out his camcorder in low light and captured McGee coming and going a couple of times. All our outside shots before were with webcams. We will let you know how this works.  Austin was hoping to get some footage of the opossum but the opossums did not return. Not sure if it was Molly’s warning or the rain that kept the opossum away.

We did see McGee in the palm tree and I took a few photos of him. Austin captured some video but it was pretty boring because Mcgee found himself a spot out of the rain and did not move. Video requires action or movement to be good, where a still shot can capture the moment and does not require movement or action.

Roark, the red-shouldered hawk does like the rain because it brings the grubs up to the surface for easy pickings. Mockz also decide to take a shower in the rain and seemed to enjoy it immensely.
It looks like we are going to have a cool but sunny day today.

All the best,
Carlos, Donna and Austin
