What a joy to watch these few precious days! Such fun to see M&M hanging out together. Thank you so much, Carlos.

“Each moment is different from any before it, each moment is different, it is now.” (Incredible String Band lyrics)
Those words are simple, but simply describe the joys of The Owl Box and the joy that Carlos brings to Molly Fans with each blog update and inspiring photo of nature’s diversity and beauty.
With a grateful heart and mind, I will never be able to express how much all this means to me, but fellow Molly Fans and Friends simply do understand!

Carlos, please address the rumor that you and Donna are going to Canada for 5 months. Whether or not you broadcast after you get back from Hawaii, just know that we appreciate getting to see Molly and McGee now. Thanks for all you have done for us.
November 16, 2010 at 8:28 am
I hope your right Carlos. Maybe Molly is just guarding the Box so that no new family takes over.
Enjoying it anyway – very Thankful for what a blessing you have brought to us this year.

Carlos, if it is NOT a rumor that you and Donna are
going to Canada, you will surely be passing through
Bellingham,WA, as we are the last city before the
Canadian border. Would you consider allowing me to
take you and Donna to lunch here in our magnificent
hamlet between the mountains and the sea? It would
be a privilege and i PROMISE NOT TO MENTION CLUTCH 3! Seriously, I’m sure I can keep that promise, just
please don’t ask anyone who knows me! Thank you.
November 16, 2010 at 9:17 am
Carlos just watched you and Erik, I know there is a tendancy for people to only comment when they are unhappy, but most of us understand how much work this all has been and appreciate your hard work. I love to see your beautiful photography, and you have inspired me to go back to my old photo hobby ( getting a new camera soon). Love it when the camera is on, and also understand that when it is off there is a good reason. I really hope that you do get a Kestrel hatch (and that you stream it) – they are among my favorite raptors also. Thanks and have fun in Hawaii – Mary Alban

I’m sure that M&M are guarding the box for when their ready to have the 3rd clutch.
Thanks for all the enjoyment you have given.
November 16, 2010 at 9:27 am
I just wanted to ask if maybe tonight if you could switch the cam to inside the box at night? I know they’ve been inside at night and I would love to see them up close!
November 16, 2010 at 9:39 am
Whatever happened to the pop-up cards?

Have been a devoted follower since Feb. I find it hard to find enough words to express my appreciation for all the joy this experience has brought me. A simple Thank You from my heart will have to suffice.

It was a great broadcast Carlos and Eric! Thanks Eric for getting answers to those questions that all of us MODs have been having! Carlos, I don’t blame you and Donna for wanting your lives back! Please know how much we appreciate all you have done and do, and if we can only have the cameras on from time to time, we will settle for that, but, we would love to have them on for extended periods with you making live comments as before, whenever it is convenient for you. It wasn’t just the owls that made The Owl Box such a unique experience. It was also you 3 Royals, the MODs on SS and Chat, and the guests you had on from time to time – the whole package – that made it so special. Thanks again!!! I will be checking the BLOG!

I was happy to be able to watch this morning’s broadcast with you and Eric AND especially thrilled to read about recent events after the cameras were turned off on October 20. We just returned from a four week tour of Turkey and since we left on October 14, before the camera was turned off, your recent postings answered questions we had.
Thanks for all of your consistent hard work to allow us this special treat of watching Molly, McGee and owlets. Now, enjoy your long overdue travels and please add me to your list of new posts via e-mail. Thank you so much

Thank you so very much for all your hard work bringing us this wonderful view into nature. I, like so many would love to view the owls non stop but we also realize you have a life. So whatever you can give us in between trips will be greatly appreciated. Enjoy your travels, be safe, much love to you and Donna.

I began after Molly was on the Nightly News. I know that hundreds of MODS on SS get together via http://www.ustream.tv/socialstream/3034451 esapecially nightly and chat about anything… they have formed a community (and can’t wait for Molly and YOU to return anytime. Others have gone to other sites like the FL Wildlife on ustream so that they can watch/chat/ have community together. They just have formed this life altering friendship and it’s touching. THANK YOU. I tune in now and then, and am still amazed. So if you put all the sites that people gather at, it would be worth it. And if Eric did the same, it would be grand. Gals have formed groups for all on FB, too– “deet deet deet” and “My Owl Friends” — it hasn’t slowed down a bit since the owlets fledged!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to both of you, as I know many MODS are thankful to you and to each other. Mary Ellis in Santee, CA died and hundreds of cards are flowing to her husband Jay as I write.
Have a great winter traveling!! God speed.

You guys are great, what can I say. Thank you so much for everything! What a nice unexpected surprise to see M&M these past few days ! The facebook and e-mail frenzy was happening as soon as we all realized that they were back up for a bit.

Is that an old picture of Max climbing the ladder with a mouse? I don’t recall seeing it before. Surely she’s not still hanging around?
November 17, 2010 at 9:29 am
Yes, I was just showing that both kestrels and the owlets like the ladders
November 16, 2010 at 9:56 pm
Dear Carlos and Donna,
Oh my .. its the count down to when you leave for Hawaii. I hope you have a wonderful holiday there. I want to thank you for turning on the cam these last few days for us…. gee, how did you know we would love it so.. hmmm? I did see some bonding but I have no idea if Molly is sticking around or not.. is she inside the box during the day? How long would it be before Molly started laying eggs/another clutch??
So your next stop on the list, after Hawaii, is Canada… that is so neat. Happy travels… will you post the occasional photo? I’ll keep checking the blog for updates.
PS Thanks for your updates too :0)
Take care.

Carlos, the picture of Max on the ladder, when was that taken?
Beautifulchef
November 20, 2010 at 12:51 pm
Beautifulchef – The blog has all the previous posts, but the only way to see them is to scroll back from the bottom of this page. The entry with the photo of Max on the ladder is from this post of May 26, 2010:
https://mollysbox.wordpress.com/2010/05/26/successful-hunting/
Maybe one day Carlos can publish a book with all the blog entries and photos! Wouldn’t that be great!
In the meantime, a rainy or snowy day where you stay inside would be a good day to take a sentimental journey back in time by scrolling back through all of the Molly’s blog posts. Hundreds of fantastic photos!
