New Molly Song and Egg #4 Day 30 Hatch Watch

August 13, 2010

MOLLY WAS HER NAME

by Barbara Allen

Oh, once there was a barn owl, and Molly was her name

She had no sense of doing more than other owls could claim

Yet Molly somehow changed the world in small uncommon ways

Spreading love and happiness around and friendships ‘long the way

Chorus:

            Oh, Molly had a mate

            His name was Leggs McGee

Successfully they raised the perfect owl family

Oh, twice there was a barn owl, and Molly was her name

And those who came to love her so could see her once again

“Theowlbox” wasn’t empty long ‘cause Molly set it straight

And when her eggs came popping out the world set out to wait

Chorus:

            Oh, Molly had a mate

            His name was just McGee

Together they set out to raise another family

INSTRUMENTAL

                        BRIDGE

                        (Molly, Molly and McGee McGee

We so love to see you proud and free)

   Chorus:

            Oh, Molly had a mate

            His name was just McGee

Together we did wait to greet their owlet family

Refrain:

And so there was a barn owl, and Molly was her name
