it is so wonderful to recall all of your efforts last year to provide so many peeps with live day by day living with the M&M family not only once but twice.
I am a shut in, but reading the lives of the owls, and the chat rooms help so many like myself to have distractions for our daily lives.
I would love to know how the Royals are doing. Your excelent professional reporting and humor made my days brighter every day.
The first thing my husband would do every morning at 5:00 a.m. would check on the owls and when he came in to take my vitals and give me my meds would give me a report.
My reguards to your family.

Hi Carlos & Donna & Family….I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying your new motor home….I missed the last peek at molly and the owlets on the 7th…Is there a chance before they leave home that we will see them again? Thanks for the updates. I purchased 3 of Austins DVD’s at christmas, 1 for myself and 2 for gifts…Everyone just love them. Thanks again.
Dear Carlos, Donna and Austin, happy M&M Celebration Day! We will never forget what you have given us, and you have helped forge a wonderful community of loving, caring people! May you and Molly and McGee live long and prosper!!
I really miss Molly & McGee…they were my first barn owl experience and will always be special…I love all the ones I’m watching now too. But thank you so much for the great start. I know it took a lot of time. I hope you both have a great time on your trip and maybe one day you’ll be in the mood to air Molly & McGee again.
Molly &McGee were my first experience with barn owls and will always remain special. Thank you so much for all your time & effort..I love all the ones I watch now too. But hope sometime in the future, you’ll be in the mood to air them again. I hope you have a lovely and safe trip.
I had a wonderful experience last year watching and learning all about barn owl’s. It’s something that will stay with me forever. Thanks to the Royal’s for their generosity. I think Wes was my fav.
I first saw Molly on the NBC news w/Brian Williams in July 2010. Lil Ashzilla was so tiny then. I was hooked on day one! Thanks, Carlos 4 these wonderful memories and 4 keeping me up almost all night most nights waiting 4 the stunningly gorgeous Leggs McGee to come bearing treats :)
Hi…oh yes, those were special months watching Molly, McGee and their families….I had to check on them constantly and spent many hours enjoying the going on from feedings, to sleeping to all those special happenings. I had full “withdrawal” symptoms, missing them so much and cannot thank you, Carlos, Donna and all for allowing us to visit so much!! We hope you are all well and enjoying your “celebrity” status!! I have the coffee table book and it is truly a prize. With thanks and best wishes as we all get back to normal!! Barb from Nova Scotia
Well, what can I say that has not been said before? I found Molly and the owlets during the first clutch and became joyfully afflicted with MOD. What a unique, interesting and emotional experience it has been, thanks to Carlos, Donna, Austin, the MODS and chat room. I think my fondest memories are of the owlets exploring outdoors and learning to hop, jump and fly. Oh, and the metamorphosis from an ugly fluff ball into an exquisite owl. Amazing.
Thanks for a significant and positive life experience, filled with joy and laughter.
My brother-in-law told me about Molly and McGee back when it all started. I enjoyed watching the little one grow up, and I told everyone I could here in Oklahoma. I spent many days at home for I was going through Chemo, and needed something to keep my mind off things, and sweet Molly was the ticket. I’m now a Breast Cancer survivor and doing good. I shared the tears, and withdrawals that everyone had when it was all over with, but I wouldn’t give it up for nothing. Thank you Carlos and Donna, and of course Austin for letting us share a wonderful God given experience.
Hi Carlos and Donna,
I’m enjoying watching the three Wesleys during the day and all of the 3rd clutch (plus M&M) at night.
I have such fond memories of the whole experience so it’s nice to keep in touch.
We were in Nanaimo a few years ago and ate at the Wesley Street Cafe…one of the best restaurants ever….wish we had known about the James Bay Tea room. Thank you again for the updates.
Re: Donn’s BBQ recipe. I have one similar but made with a corned beef that
has been cooked (4-5 hr), cooled, sliced and put into the oven with the BBQ sauce over it. Baste occ.
(sauce: Margarine 2 TB- Ketchup 5 TB – prepared mustard 1 TB -
white vinegar 3 TB – and brown sugar 1/3 cup) Corned beef (square cut
for easier cutting) 4-5 lbs) Boil sauce, pour over meat Bake 350 for 30 min. (So, 2 cooking cycles) Orig can be on stove or crockpot then into oven)
Baste occ. Served 8. Wonderful for pot luck.
Loved M&M. I’m in West Covina (2 hr N of you) and have much loss of
sleep. Am now in photo classes and and amazed at the wonderful
pictures. You,Donna and Austin (and M&M) have brought much joy
and new interests. We all appreciate all the time and effort you
have put into this. Sue Garland
Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for first-time blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
